Cultural Care for Seniors through Traditional Puppetry

As part of its commitment to corporate social responsibility and community care, NEMS invited renowned glove puppetry master Huang Shih-Chih to bring an engaging cultural experience to seniors. The event combined traditional art, storytelling, and hands-on creativity, offering a joyful and meaningful afternoon.
Master Huang's vivid performance and playful improvisation drew laughter and applause, especially as seniors were invited to try simple puppet movements themselves. The interactive atmosphere filled the room with warmth and nostalgia.
The event also featured a bamboo chair DIY workshop, where participants enjoyed crafting their own bamboo stools.
Through this activity, NEMS hopes to foster cultural connection across generations, rekindling memories of temple-stage performances and celebrating the enduring beauty of Taiwan’s traditional arts.
